COURSE DESCRIPTION

To getting familiar with the sailboat and (un)favorable sea conditions. To introduce older children, 14+ and adults to sailing in small sports sailboats (double-handed sailboats). Getting familiar with the boat, luffing up, bearing off, tacking, preparing and hoisting sails, the role of the helmsperson and jib handler, stowing the sailboat and sails, sailboat maintenance. (demonstrated by the instructor)
